On August 22, 2012, Nikon has refreshed its digital compact Coolpix line-up with four new models: Nikon Coolpix S6400, S800c, S01 and P7700.
The S6400 is an ultra-thin ￡230 camera but manages to cram in a 12x optical zoom lens and 16-megapixel backlit CMOS sensor. There’s also a 3-inch touch screen and a range of creative photo editing effects.
The S800c is powered by Android OS and can connect to Wi-Fi so that you can share pictures straight from the camera to other devices and the internet.
The S01 has a body “smaller than a credit card” according to Nikon. This ultra-compact has a 3x optical zoom wide-angle NIKKOR lens, 2.5-inch touchscreen, 10.1-megapixel CCD sensor, 7.3GB internal memory and 720p HD movie mode.
The most feature-packed P7700 has a 3-inch vari-angle LCD monitor, f/2.0-4.0 NIKKOR 7.1x optical zoom lens, a large 1/1.7-inch, back-illuminated 12-megapixel CMOS sensor, lens shift vibration reduction, full 1080p HD movie mode and RAW file format support.
With those new announced compact digital cameras, you can point and shot excellent quality full HD 720p or 1080p movies. The recorded photos or videos are usually stored on a SD/SDHC/SDXC memory cards that inserted into the digital cameras.
