(Nov.1, 2013) According to the report from American research firm Strategy Analytics, the total shipments of global smartphone reached 251.4 million units in the third quarter of 2013, growing 45% compared with 172.8 million units of 2012’s third quarter. The Android operating system reached a new record of 81.3%, iOS was 13.4%, and Windows Phone was 4.1%.
Samsung shipped a record 120.1 million phones last quarter, beating Nokia, Apple, and LG combined. The quarter showed a 7 percent jump in overall global shipments from a year ago and gave Samsung a 29 percent slice of the mobile phone market. Strategy Analytics attributed the gain to strong demand for Samsung’s Note 3 phablet and mass market devices, such as the Galaxy Y.
The Galaxy Y is an Android smartphone by Samsung, announced in August 2011, running Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread operating system. It sports a 832 MHz ARMv6 processor, 290 MB of internal memory and supports up to 32 GB of removable storage through a microSD card.
Samsung Galaxy Y has a 2 MP camera, a screen with a 240×320 resolution and a multitouch interface with the optional SWYPE virtual keyboard. The phone offers connectivity options such as HSDPA 3G connection up to 7.2Mbit/s and a Wifi connection.

Launch Galaxy Y Photo Recovery, connect your Samsung Galaxy Y to PC or Mac via USB cable. The software will recognise your phone’s both internal storage and external microSD card, and allocates two removable drivers for them.
Select the driver, click Start Scan, you can see the scanning progress when it is working. When finished, the scanned photos, videos and music files will be classified according to file extensions. Then choose your files to be recovered, and hit Recover to retrieve them to your computer.
