(December 4, 2013) Yesterday, Canon announced the EOS M2 on Tuesday in China and Japan, updating the autofocus system that was the chief weakness of the Company’s first-generation, high-end “mirrorless” compact camera. It looks identical to its predecessor, EOS M.
The EOS M2 includes Hybrid CMOS AF II, an updated autofocus system that Canon said is faster that the M’s system. The built-in Wi-Fi can be used both for image transfer to a smartphone, and for remote control using Canon’s free “EOS Remote” app.
